X-link to the Kobo Discounts thread for some long weekend mystery sales in Canada & the US (expiring today, August 7th):

Bargain @ $0.99 cents from British publisher Orenda Books: 8 titles from their catalogue, including the latest translated series works from Nordic Noir authors Norwegian Kjell Ola Dahl (Wikipedia; Frĝlich & Gunnarstranda series has long been unavailable for the earlier installments; I liked a later novel well enough), Norwegian Gunnar Staalesen (Wikipedia; popular Varg Veum series adapted to film), Norwegian Thomas Enger (SYKM; I quite enjoyed his Henning Juul series starring a cynical crime reporter), and also Johana Gustawsson (Wikipedia FR; French author married to a Swede, writing faux-Scandicrime thrillers originally published by Bragelonne). Linkage for their catalogue listings for Kobo CA, sorted by price.

There's also a bunch of other nice sale titles from major and minor publishers, including a few big name authors such as Mary Higgins Clark and more at $4.99 CAD or less.
