He flashed paperwhite3 5.7.4 to a PW3-32GB which was not supported.
It looks like he fixed his problem by buying a new kindle.
The update packages all contain a 'uBoot' boot loader that knows how to talk to the memory and storage on your device, and if you install the wrong one, you get this kind of thing.

we are not ready to say that yet.
The report is that the hardware reset is not working.
Since it is a hardware, not a software reset there are only three possibilities:
No power.
Broken button.
Incorrect report.
Since there is no way to know what firmware was installed (O.P. reported firmware for two different devices, neither the one he has), it have to be assumed that the charge controller is running at its defaults.
It will take at least 24 hours before we can safely assume the problem is not #1 above.
If it is #2 - then the device will have to be exchanged for a different one.
If it is #3 - then we can first check if it is falling into one of the modes that can be used to recover the device over USB.
(I suspect not.)
The most likely scenario here is the O.P. is incorrect about the failure of the hardware based reset and the device is unable to start its external ram.
In that case, two choices:
*) Contact the seller, get the device exchanged for a different Kindle (from the O.P. this device should be new enough to be under warranty).
or
*) Use the serial port to boot into the alternate O.S. (diags) and recover the 'main' system from there.

I really do have a plan here.
