I've tested it once with free samples from

You just save your Adobe ID and password in system settings, then open the default browser, go to the website you want and download a book. For me, it was OK with both direct links to epub files and downloading with ascm links. In both cases you get a file you can open in any reading app that has Adobe DRM support. I stick to Onyx Neo Reader.
As for 3rd party apps, it's usually better not to be overoptimistic. I'll try to test Aldiko and/or Bluefire reader tomorrow, but I expect that they won't look very nice on the b/w EInk screen.
