In a profession where AOL accounts are not uncommon, security is not the primary concern. Reasonable security is good enough. Convenient, quick access to information is critical. Convenient access means a light device that wirelessly syncs with remote, relevant devices and documents, and can access legal databases and the court's register of actions.

Re security: any U.S. attorney caught violating work-product or attorney-client privilege would lose her/his law license and her/his livelihood. Where the punishment is severe and the advantage questionable, attorney hacking has not been a problem.
