Now as to your other suggestion, yes we have TV stations.
But the answer is (words that can't be printed here) no. I was a behind the scenes helper at a tv station on days there was no school when I was 6 to about 13.
No thanks.

Yeah, I had questioned, in my previous message, whether or not we had a microwave in the 70's. I tried to indicate that I just didn't remember one way or the other. If GE or Hotpoint (a GE subsidiary) had one out, we probably had one within a year of its introduction.
BTW--How many showers did you get from not getting the dishwasher hose exactly centered on the faucet? hahah
Funny about the dishwasher. We had one of those models, too. Only someone attached a wood cutting board (that I never remember my Mother using) to the top of ours. We had it a long time--I cannot remember a time that we didn't have it. It beat having no dishwasher at all; I'm sure that Mother was glad to have one at all. but I remember it as being noisy. Don't remember anyone having trouble cross-threading the hose to the sink faucet. It was just like hooking up a garden hose to a spigot, best I remember. It's been a long, long time since we used it (we had built-in dishwashers since I can almost remember). Would you believe that Mother (Father is deceased) finally got rid of it only recently? And she wonders how I got to be such a pack rat. ha I don't know who she unloaded it on, I mean gave it to. ha It probably belongs in a museum.
One nice thing about getting older is you can reminisce about the "old days" and have a laugh or two . . . .
