Having a bright light is not a desirable goal, though. With any reader you should be aiming for the lowest light level that allows you to see the screen clearly. If the screen appears to be "shining", your light is almost certainly set at too high a level.

I must say, BTW, that in the picture in your previous message, my personal preference is for the Kindle screen by far. I would not personally wish to read on an orange screen.
