If you want 5.8.7 go to the Amazon.com page for your device, that is the current release.
OR
Re-read the directions, I added 5.8.7 to the list even though it is still the current version, both OTA and on the Amazon.com page for your device.

If none of those three ways to get 5.8.7 do not work for you, let me know here.
