Signed up using one email I created just for this. Nothing.
I will wait until Monday or Tuesday and call it a scam to collect emails.

Yeah, it won't hurt to wait, just in case their computer's taken the weekend off or something. ha
Not only do they get your email, but you've got to give them your birthdate or make one up. I am bothered much less about giving my email address and even my name than having to give my birthdate. Some of the sites that ask for that information say that it's for verifying my age or whatever. And make no mistake about it--I can't speak for HarperCollins, but companies
do sell your personal information to marketers and some unscrupulous companies may even sell to identity thieves. Do a Google search on yourself sometime, if you haven't done it. Companies have your name, birthdate, former places that you lived, names of people that are related to you or that you otherwise know. It's scary how accurate that it is, and how much you
know that they have. But the biggest problem is that if you pay them, they apparently can provide tons more of information.
I try to minimize the information that I give out and to be discriminating about to whom I give it out.
