Thank you for the info. I have been eying Tolino with interest, just in case I suddenly need yet another e-ink reader ;-)

I do not want to have a rooted reader, I am just interested in installing a launcher and a few e-book readers, such as AlReader.
Tap to Flip - it has it, but I stopped using it because I found that it was over sensitive in practise, for instance putting my book down on a table would register as a page turn, as would lifting it up again.

The other thing about Tap to Flip - it only allows forward progress. Going back a page requires touching the screen.

As for the root - the problem I could not get beyond is that one must install a launcher (the root method online comes with a version of Smart Launcher), but whether using that launcher or any other I side loaded, the system would error unless I had system language set as German. I gave up with the root, and just accepted using the Tolino software, which is basic but reliable.
