They'd have to get rid of the penny in order to have enough slots in cash registers. Then I wouldn't be able to add to my penny bank when I'm out walking.

I never did see why the C system was better than the F system for temperature. They both are totally arbitrary. Sure I know that the C system has a multiple of 10 between water freezing and boiling (at sea level on a standard atmospheric day) but those are both arbitrarily selected points. Why not a more regal system like the melting & boiling point of gold.

Also as Bob says the F system allows for finer measures since one degree F is smaller than one degree C.
