Have you read her non-fiction? My favourite is "Come, Tell Me How You Live", her account of the time she spent in Iraq on archaeological expeditions with her husband, Max Mallowan (later Sir Max) excavating Nimrud and other ancient cities. A wonderful (and extremely amusing) read. Her autobiography is also fascinating.
