Well, let me explain in more detail what procedure I used to unlock my iPhone 6 Plus in iOS 9.x.x. With Siri deactivated I could simply press my thumb onto the Home button and hold it there until the iPhone unlocked. Notice I used one fluid motion, not two motions. I did not have to first press and release the Home button then second hold my thumb over the Home button. I simply pressed the Home button and continued to hold it depressed for a few milliseconds until the iPhone unlocked. I cannot do that in iOS 10.x.x when Voice Control is turned ON without activating Voice Control about half of the time. Yes, I could momentarily press and release the Home button, then carefully hold my thumb over it a few milliseconds without pressing it again, but that is not the single, fluid motion I've been using for nearly two years. I prefer that single, fluid motion to unlock the iPhone.

Thanks!

Okay the second method did work. But what a convoluted work around to have to go through when a simple option to turn OFF Voice Control would do the job. Plus I won't be surprised if Apple mucks up that work around with a future update.
