There may be some regional differences in the meaning of "boar." I am not a hunter (except for bargains  ), so I could be wrong, but I believe that in this area, any wild pig/hog--regardless of gender--is called a "boar." I'll have to investigate. Serves me right for telling such a dumb joke . . . .
