Question What to do with battery?

Since I got my One on 31 August, I have tried every way I knew to solve the battery problems:
* did two full discharges/recharge to calibrate the battery: some improvement (drop 100% to some 70% in sleep mode after 10 hours instead of 4 after 1st cycle), but still abysmal
* upgraded the F/w: no improvement for the battery
* disconnected/reconnected to reset it: no improvement
* added PeriodicAutoSync=false to the .conf file: radical improvement in sleep mode (it dropped 1% after many hours), but still big problems when reading, specially at night.

How it went since I modified the .conf file yesterday afternoon:
* reading in daylight with light at 60%: 100% to 90% in 70' - seems high, but not outrageous
* reading at night with light at 30%, comfort light on automatic: 82% to 65% in one hour
* reading at night with comfort light on manual: 63% to 58% the first hour, 42% the next hour
* I decided to inhibit the automatic light turn off in the sun just in case, lowered the light to 20%, the comfort light from some 90% to some 80%: the battery dropped from 42% to 37% in another hour reading.

I'll see how it goes in the next 24 hours, but I won't have so much time to test/read, and I don't know what to do since I'm not sure whether it is a software or a battery problem really. It could be a combination of the two.

One French person said here they had done an exchange at the Fnac in Paris and it hadn't changed anything. I also feel that the new light/comfort light combi needs serious tuning. It is a pity, because it is a great improvement for night reading.

Any suggestion anyone?
