The German review says the glo hd and h2o have better contrast than the One with the light off. You can see this in the side by side photos they posted. My old kindle keyboard with a pearl screen also has noticeably lighter background than the PW2 with light off. That's just the downside of capacitive touch and front light.
Fortunately, when the light is on the One seems to do fine, edged out in contrast only by the Voyage. I wish the German side would test around 50% rather than max light.
