Naw, bad idea, that would trash any real registration file unless ash tar has the 'skip existing' option.
*Might* not be a problem. Fake registrations get overridden by connecting to Amazon's servers (which know that Kindle is unregistered) -- perhaps invalid registrations for registered devices get corrected the same way.

(It only stores user-friendly device names and the send-to-Kindle email address.)
