But still there is something very strange..

After moving the total library to another path, I checked to see if the two directories were exactly the same, with the synchronize function of total commander, there seems to be a difference in about 10 specific opf files. Every time I try to synchornize, Total commander crashes.. The permissions of that files are all set OK. And no files are on a NAS. What makes it very strange, is that Total commander notices a difference In the time stamp) of opf files from books I am sure that I did not edit at all. So it looks like these opf files are causing the trouble, but why and how to prevent is not yet solved.
I keep searching and will be back!

The OPF time difference is NORMAL.
The OPF gets written any time something about the book changes.

Change the case of a Tag elsewhere (another book), that is also used in the metadata for this book. The OPF in all books that have that tag, gets refreshed
