I never met him, but my SO reported that the Weimaraner pup she had as a kid would eat anything that was people food. He'd even drink grapefruit juice, making faces all the while but finishing it,
because his people had given it to him. He also needed his coffee in the morning, or was bleary eyed all day. The vet who looked after him said his Weimaraner was the same way.
My late cat Kvetch liked raw garlic. Kvetch was ill when I found her wandering the halls in my building in the winter, and one symptom was a persistent nasty sinus condition that medication cut down on but did not cure. My SO and I estimated she liked raw garlic because it was something she could actually smell. (And at least once when the cat was sleeping next to her on the bed, the SO complained "She's sweating garlic through the pads of her paws!" We both love garlic in cooking, but having the cat smell like garlic on the pillow beside her was another matter.
