Yes, the tiny size of the text is the reason that I never use page flip.
I also never need it, because as soon as I need to refer back and forth in one or more books, I prefer paper. I only use an e-reader for reading novels, from beginning to end. If a novel has a map (such as fantasy novels) that I don't yet know very well, I'll find it on Google and print it in case I need or want to refer to it. For something such as Lord of the Rings, Shannara, the Eddings novels and others I've reread a few times, I can draw you most of the maps from memory, so I don't bother to print them.
