I got it, you first create a highlight with the pencil icon and then you select that highlight again and you get a second pencil icon. Will the annotation feature support the Apple Pencil in later versions? I often sit with the iPad in my hand and not connected to a keyboard (not a fan of soft keyboards) but with the Pencil next to me.

Marvin is clearly the most feature laden e-Reader software I have had the pleasure to use.
