Lightning That Lingers by Sharon and Tom Curtis

This is a wonderful old Loveswept that was recently reissued in ebook format. Sharon and Tom Curtis were my favorite authors back in the day (1980's). They are best known for The Windflower which they wrote under the pen name Laura London.

I don't typically like the shy, naive virgin trope, but somehow they pulled it off like no one else could. In the book, the heroine is a shy, sheltered librarian, while the hero is a wildlife biologist that specializes in owls, but moonlights as a male stripper to earn money to restore his family's old mansion - I know, it sounds like absolute crazy sauce, but somehow, it all actually works beautifully. Just keep in mind that it was written in the 80's and has not been updated, so there are some things that are totally outdated.

I bought that back in 2012 and still have yet to read it.
