Ok then yes, it may not be downloaded. All your kindle books will show whether they are downloaded or not on a Fire.
Is there a small arrow on the cover?
Tap on it please.
If it opens, you sent it to your fire. If it shows downloading, then it just put the cover.
Please check so we know for sure.
Now there are some books, mostly comic and some children that can only be sent to a fire.
Amazon only sends the book to one device.
Since 2011, I have never had Amazon send the book to more than one device, unless I specifically clicked on the send to another device on the thank you screen.
