Proof sounds better than resistant. So I'm surprised Samsung says water resistant when their device is slightly better than Kobo's water proof device. Maybe they're under different regulations. Or maybe Samsung doesn't want people to push the limit.

The H20 is suppose to be good for 30 minutes submerged up to one meter with the port closed. That's more than enough for my bathtub!
