Next I'm going to try The Girl on the Pier by Paul Tomkins that I just got from Amazon for $0.99.
I gave up on The Girl on the Pier after the first 25 pages (I just couldn't get interested).

I just picked up Journey to the Heart of Luna by Andy Frankham-Allen for $0.99. It's the first book in the steampunk series Space: 1889 & Beyond. Several more of the books in the series are also available at Amazon for $0.99.

I'm going to give this series a try and I just started reading it.
