Which I've always preferred anyway. I mostly use DropBox as a means to shuttle files from one computer to another, and to have a few files visible on all my iOS devices. I never count on cloud storage as my actual backup.
Yes, I know. I handle my own backups now (Linux server). I don't even need Owncloud, but it's good to know it is out there. It's one of the few I'd be interested in. I don't want to "cloud" anything and be captive to paying whatever they demand but if I needed info on the go, owncloud would work for me.
