I completely agree with this. If you read up on their l-ion information at batteryuniversity.com you can get good information on how to care for these batteries.

Lithium Ion batteries are pretty sturdy and they can take a lot of abuse but by not abusing them you can get small and sometimes not so small improvements in their overall life. Their studies show that charging the battery when it's between 60% and 80% full (this is from memory so those aren't exact numbers) and not charging it till it's quite full gives the longest life. It doesn't make a huge difference but it is significant.

The two things that are worse for it (again from memory, it's been a while since I read that site) are letting it fully discharge and keeping it plugged in all the time.

It makes me nervous to agree with HarryT but I'm afraid this time I really have to.
