There have been so many attacks over the last years, and in reality this is just one more. We shouldn't be more angry about Paris than about Beirut on Thursday, about the Boko Haram atrocities that happen with such sad regularity, or the multitude of others. However, it is difficult to maintain perspective when 19 people were killed in a restaurant 3 bus stops from my apartment, 100 meters from my doctor's office. That restaurant was a favorite of young people of all colors and backgrounds. Frequently when I walked by I would hear happy voices, laughing with pleasure about something. I have to ask: why anyone, but in particular why them?
