Ten of Catherine Aird's Inspector Sloan/Calleshire series (only recently released in e-book) are on sale at Kindle US for $1.99 as part of their "Holiday Deals in Kindle Books" sale, good (per the website) until Nov 30, 2015.

If you didn't/don't feel like traveling to India, per the post below, now you can get quite a few in the US with no need to take a trip.

This is one of my favorite favorite series...

Titles are:
  • The Religious Body
  • Henrietta Who
  • The Stately Home Murder, apa The Complete Steel
  • His Burial Too
  • Slight Mourning
  • Last Respects
  • A Dead Liberty
  • The Body Politic
  • A Going Concern
  • After Effects

The first in the series, The Religious Body, is $1.99 at most US sites, but the rest are quite expensive for backlist books, mostly in the $8 to $9 range, depending on which US site you use.

However, if you are willing to travel to Kobo India, they are mostly 237 rupees, which translates to about US $3.70. Since some Kobo India prices went up not too long ago, I'm not sure if this will be more-or-less permanent pricing, or if it's some sort of an intro price structure.

Four dollars US is about the max I would ever pay for backlist ebooks, and I'm a lot happier under three dollars for backlist, but Aird is one of my top five or six favorite mystery authors so I paid the $3.70 per book to get these, and am now indulging in reading the series straight through on my phone. (If anyone cares, my other big favs are: Sarah Caudwell, Michael Pearce, Marvin Albert, Emma Lathen and David Wishart.) They might also be couponable in India with one of the older coupons from the first post in the Kobo Deals thread (link), but I didn't find one that worked that I hadn't already used with my India account.

Several of the later books in Aird's series are also available at Kobo India for pretty reasonable prices.
