Interesting . . . . You Aussies have a lot of strange critters (hillbilly for "creatures") and critters that do a lot of strange things. I don't think that our possums (short for "opossums") climb on houses. I think that they're ground dwellers.

People outside of the United States might not understand what hillbillies are or the whole premise of the Beverly Hillbillies show, but maybe the cookbook would help thin the population of your possums.

Living in the deep South (southeastern U.S.) most of my life, I'm sure that I've known people who have eaten possums. I wouldn't do it, myself. Of course, I may have been served some in somebody's house somewhere and been told that it was "chicken."
