Nice to check the fonts like this.
Is printing them the best way to see how they look on the Kindle? I can creat different files with all these fonts, but I only have one kindle and I will not be able to compare them. How do you compare them?

Originally I just sideloaded all those fonts onto my Kobo and got used to each one on that device, so I kind of 'learned' about them on that device... I'd probably do what you're doing- print them out and pick/choose/embed from there... I've picked these fonts only because I know for a fact that they looked great on my Kobo, and I've been through many, many fonts!
I actually picked most of them up from the kobo forums here on Mobileread: they have a sticky thread with a summary of fonts to sideload, and infact links on where to download them -thats where I got most of my fonts from. They all look great on my voyage. The links on the Kobo forum I mentioned link to 'modified' versions of the fonts - the Charis I have is in fact modified by a forumer over there - they love there font options there, haha.
I am a bit of a font nut thanks to these ereaders, and the fonts I mentioned are the best fonts that are currently available and seem optimised for ereading - I did all the hard work for you! I am as of this moment checking out googles new Literata font - wish me luck lol.

In terms of which font goes with which book? That's the fun part! Like another guy said here- you wouldn't put comic sans on a Dickens novel - its all about the design, man! It's like a game - choose a font which complements the style of the book the best, for me it makes the reading experience more fluid and keeps me interested. Here's a start: Droid Serif and Rockwell for Sci Fi

(if you wanna get picky, like me, its droid serif for regular sci-fi and Rockwell for 'hard' sci-fi :P ). Also I like putting modern, sans serif fonts on classics too, makes the book I'm reading feel new and fresh and relevant (lord this is sad, I need a new hobby haha)
edit: I've attached a really great zip file that I got from the Kobo forum: it's a collection of fonts that have been modified and optimised for the ereader - all of these look GREAT on my voyage and should provide a great start (if not a great end-all) to having some awesome sideloaded fonts for you... in fact, these are pretty much all of the fonts that I mentioned previously, bar 1 or two... enjoy!
edit 2: Literata looks great on my voyage also - add that to the list too! I will be using this font for... AAA blockbuster type novels :P
