No idea about that. I never use bookmarks. I use coolreader for actual reading. No notes, no bookmarks... I rarely even open any menu (except for when I'm developing, obviously).

That can be changed from the system/share/keymaps/pb62x.ini file.
● is a global hotkey for the home screen so you can't overwrite it from coolreader.
