The NAS is not read-only. The calibre server instance is read-only. Read/write calibre libraries on a NAS are not supported (http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....rked-drive-nas).

And sorry, but this sort of question can go on forever. I can't be your personal computer support technician. There are a zillion web pages explaining how to set up various kinds of servers, how to configure home routers, how to set up DNS naming, and how to arrange for synchronization. It is really now up to you to work out what you want to do and how to do it.
