Total Commander for the tablets is also free & no commercials; I've used it when it became available. TC has a windows version which I just paid for as my windows file manager because the windows version now understands & connects MTP; I can just select & drop files from the tablet onto my computer harddrive as in backup of my ebook directory which I do once a month.
I also use foobar2000 as my audio player in windows, free & no commercials & excellent. Of course, within linux, there are lots of apps that are free & without commercials & the developers are from all over the world, including China & Russia.
Don't recall any commercials for the DeDRM plugin app.

All of that is irrelevent. The question is whether or not the devs of this app are using the data that they are, possibly, collecting for monetization purposes. I believe most people realize that free-without-strings software exists.
