Another library book came in for me, so I am putting
War of Honor on hold to read
DragonFlight. It has probably been 25 years since I read this, so I am really looking forward to it.
War of Honor has been interesting, but I have been skimming large passages of info dumps. At about 1/3 finished with it I am certainly agreeing with CRussel's comment about it being a 400 page book trying to get out of the 800 page book it's trapped in.
Edit: So far while I have enjoyed DragonFlight, I am really irritated by the lack of proofing they did when converting to digital. I have highlighted around 50 locations where in their conversion they have removed periods from between sentences It is really hard to read when they do that That little dot is important! Missing periods is the most common offender, but they also have some obvious OCR errors in other places, such as "I'm" getting mutated to "Tm" or "same" being changed to "saine". Very poorly done.
For anyone who is looking this was published by Random House on Feb 26, 2002 as a Kindle version (maybe as a mobi at the time?) according to Overdrive and
Amazon. There is also an
collection of three books that might have been done better, but was published only a month later so ???
