She is healthy and never had a weight issue, so she doesn't understand some things. She got testy when I asked how much shredded cheese and how much dried (no sugar added, though) cherries she put in the salad with dinner last night. I had just counted on fresh veg and the requisite amt. of healthy oil. Not asking to make my own salad was my fault, too, I guess. I didn't get home until almost 6, so she already had it made.

This all probably sounds very ungrateful. *sigh* I just wish I could get my mother to understand my need to count and track and also the dairy component of the program. She knows it works for me, she encouraged me to get back on it. Not getting upset when I ask for amounts when she cooks and her not questioning why collard greens can't fulfill my dairy good health guideline would be nice.
Would it be helpful if she went with you to Weight Watchers so they could explain the program to her and answer any questions she may have?
