I know with my actual books in the cloud they are separated but it surprised me that they were on the Fire as I had created several collection folders and some were collections of non-amazon ebooks (many from here at MR) and the folders seemed to hide themselves when I went looking for them. Eventually I caught on that they were stored under Docs instead. There was no such division on the PaperWhite or Kindle Keyboard. Amazon or not books were in one collection.
