No, I find my 220g Kobo Wifi to be quite light enough, and the newer Kobo readers are closer to 180g. There are many improvements I would prioritize over weight reduction. Solely considering hardware improvements, I would want flexible/bendable panels up to A3 in size with a 60ms page refresh and faster storage access (all without sacrificing battery life, of course) before I would worry about making readers lighter.
