I checked for updates over wi-fi when I received it, and the wi-fi has been turned off ever since.
- Much better screen than the 350, which was itself much better than the 505.
- Almost as small as the 350 despite having a larger 6" screen
- Has buttons (as well as a touchscreen that works well)
- Very nice built-in screen cover (auto on when opened and folds back out of the way comfortably)

Thanks for the feedback. I had a T-1 and had problems with it so I ended up returning it (as an example, I'd choose one book and different book would display).
Unfortunately, since Sony no longer in the ebook business (despite producing some great ebook readers), I'd be very leery of purchasing another Sony ebook reader. The main reason I recently purchased a PRS-505 is that I knew I could use Calibre to manage the content on it (I have Windows 8 and the Sony Reader Library wouldn't work on it), and since it's basically new I should be good for a couple of years before the battery life becomes an issue. Pleasant surprise was that it supported EPUB right out of the box (which my original PRS-505 did not), which was an added benefit.
