Buzzing or squealing. Something is wrong as the monitor kept going to sleep (before the noise started). I had dropped something and cut my thumb picking it up so I wasn't paying attention to the screen until it shut itself off. It was the second or third time I tried to restart it that the noise started. So then I unplugged it. It was just a coincidence that I knocked the stuff off a nearby shelf at the time this all happened as nothing fell on the PC (it is underneath a long table next to my desk). Maybe the fan is going out? I am at a loss. But since I couldn't get the screen to come on there isn't much I can do.
