I gave up on eInk after I got my N7 last year my kindles are collecting dust. I keep my PW only as a backup. I can't read on it for long periods of time as it gives me eye strain but I can read on my N7 for hours without any issues.

Not all tablets are equal. They can boast of all type of high specs but if you are going to use a tablet for reading you need to look at PPI of the tablet, the higher the better, Viewing Angle of the tablet (This is most important) and how much effort went into text rendering. I've seen too many pricey tablets skimp on text rendering and have an amazing screen for everything else. Also turn that light way down when reading. The dimmer the better on your eyes and If your tablet doesn't go dim enough get Screen Dim app which will allow you to go as dark as you want and it has presets you can switch back and forth. I have my tablet set that it looks like I am reading on fancy paper you can't tell it's backlit at all.
I'm hoping to use the $100 gift certificate I got from Best Buy to go towards the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 on their Black Friday sale. It has 359 ppi, so maybe I'll change my mind about reading on a tablet. It would be nice to not have to carry the PW and the tablet around. I would then be able to get rid of my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. I just checked and its ppi is 170. That sounds like it will be a huge difference. I just hope I like the 8.4" screen size for reading. The PW's size has been great for me and this will be bigger.
