I did. I compared the PW2 (new 2014) against the KV and preferred the KV, even with the gradient.

That's why I passed that info on to the group. I didn't even ask for it. Amazon CS offered it to me when I did an online chat to get my replacement. As an aside, I find it really helpful to do their online chats (as opposed to telephone calls) because then you have a record of the conversation (like, when one CS told me to return the "more defective" Kindle).

The problem with the middle one, apart form the gradient, is that when viewing them in person the text was less crisp than the other two screens. The best I can describe from my limited time with the three of them is that in the areas where the screen is more of a yellowish hue (or darker) the text is noticeable less sharp.
