No way to know. The author who had half her books pulled was never given an explanation. Best thing to do is contact the author and see if she knows--but if she doesn't list kobo on her blog/site then she may already know and not intend to put the book up there. The whole retailing and how to get a book up and which method can be complicated and a real pain. In some cases, it makes a lot more sense for the author to go direct upload. In others, they pay a distributor a cut to do it. I know Bell Bridge does publish original titles and they do upload to Kobo so I can't imagine why that one wouldn't be there, but there could be a reason!
