After my K3 issues - similar, but different - lots of gaps and cracking noises and I waited to order it until months later, I didn't jump on the PW1 either (waited until 5/2013) and still had to return two and grudgingly kept one. I had hoped that by now they had "resolved" their supplier issues, but apparently their suppliers still haven't improved QC. Really dogging the Kindle rep.
