I know. You can only imagine my eagerness to face that meal. According to her reckoning we should all have the equivalent of a quarter of a cabbage. We finally worked out something of a truce, I'd get my quarter raw. That's actually a fairly significant amount of food eaten that way, but I was given no quarter in that struggle (Bwahahaha!)

I was thinking about meals like that the other day, I really don't recall foods that my kids didn't like and I was never of the school of "eat it or go hungry". I like food too much to do that to anyone. Looking back I'd say 4 out of 7 of my mother's dinners were altogether inedible
