I mentioned over in the Chromebook thread that there was going to be a Windows Tablet for $120. This will be with the OS and Bing. I don't know about the Office software.

Microsoft is trying to head off Chromebook at the pass like they did the Netbook. They sold the Home XP license to the Netbook people for $5 to $10 so they wouldn't just only provide Linux (alone.)

Like was mentioned above the Chrome OS has some advantages over Windows, as well as disadvantages which Google is working on.

My pet peeve is you can't print directly to a legacy printer from Chromebook. The computer I am on right now is 15 years old, running XP but most importantly it is the house print server whether from a Chromebook or a Windows machine all on Wi-Fi.

The other day, my wife calls and says the printer isn't working though Wi-Fi was on. I told her to check "that old computer" and sure enough after one of those Wiondows updates it had shut down.

The next printer I get will be a Wi-Fi machine.
