Knowing Michael, the other two would come up with some detailed way to tell him, only to find out he already knew and was just waiting for them to do the right thing and tell him. Then he'd somehow make Harry feel guilty without actually saying anything, and even Thomas would feel like a guilty ass, because everyone feels guilty when they let Michael down in some way. That's just life in the Dresdenverse.
