I thnk the on-off button should not have been placed at the back. It complicates cover design, and covers with a hole in them don't look very good IMHO.
Also, the software improvements are not worth it; I'm of the opinion that they're useless frills, such as more GoodReads, WordWise, etc... The most important improvement, such as font customization was not added. I'd only buy the new Kindle for the hardware improvements.
To be honest, at this point in time, there is no reader on the market that I really like. Most of them have either software issues (Kobo, with its space wasting layout), or hardware issues (readers I like, but without front lights, for example). I use the Kindle Paperwhite because it does its job and basically is the least bad of the bunch...
By the way, I think the KPW2 will be sold for at least another year, and the Voyage (of which I think it should have been called Voyager, instead) will just be positioned above it as more expensive alternative, just like Kobo does, selling all e-readers they've released in the last three years or so.
