Not really relevant. Nobody's suggesting Amazon put the Instant Video app on Google Play for Amazon Android devices to use. Amazon Android devices don't need to install the Instant Video app.

What's being discussed here is Amazon making the Instant Video app available to Android phones/devices (non-Amazon) though normal Google Play channels instead of the hoops they're currently making them jump through.

They make their store-front app available to Android (non-Amazon) users though normal Google Play channels ... there's no reason they couldn't do the same for the Instant Video app.
