Once again, your opinions are not Law.

Folder is the official term use by some OS that happen to use a FOLDER ICON.
All instructions are to click on the FOLDER. To use other terms just confuses new users.

Directories exist in the CLI
FOLDERS exist in the GUI

Even the few Linux distros I use use FOLDERS in the GUI

So I will state for the world: Jon is mistaken in his belief that the term FOLDERS are incorrect (and Billy G has so much more $$$ than you because of providing FOLDERS to those that do not want to deal with a CLI )
