Same here. Never felt the need to read in the bath shower, and if I'm at the beach I am a little busy with other things...

It would be very unwise of Amazon to do the same as Kobo, unless they plan on running two hardware lines. Most Kindle buyers are probably NOT the ones spending money on premium ereaders, and would not take kindly to having no option but to pay extra for waterproofing.
